:: FAQ for DMP Campout ::

 

  • Are there bathroom facilities ? 

    • There is 1 compost toilet in addition to portapotties. 

    • There will be a hand washing station.

  • Are there Showers on the premises?

    • Yes. We are constructing two temporary showers. One will have a hot shower & for those that like to shower cold, there will be one cold only shower...

  • Can I order a catered meal plan at the door?

    • NO. All meal plan passes are to be pre-ordered as we need to purchase the correct amount of food in advance. You can purchase your meal plan pass up until thursday May 12th.

  • Will there be food to buy on site?

    • YES. We will be blessed with Atiba and his Sol Food, Monica Mooncraft and her elixir bar, and Chloe’s Corner which has small plates, desserts and is bringing water ice on sunday!

  • Where can I find the schedule for the dances & workshops?

    • There will be a physical copy printed and left at the Info Booth and in varying places on site.

  • Where can I find a map of the grounds for the Campout?

    • There will be a physical copy printed and left at the Info Booth and in varying places on site of the map of Fort Mifflin & workshop spaces..

  • What are the Gate Hours?

    • Friday 2pm-11pm. 

    • Saturday 7am-7pm. 

    • Sunday 7am-1pm.

  • Are there Day Passes available for purchase?

    • YES. You can preorder a day pass and you can also purchase a day pass at the gate for the day of your arrival.

  • Can I order my ticket the Day of, or at the Gate?

    • YES. You can arrive and order your ticket on site. Day Passes will be available for Saturday and Sunday and weekend passes are available. You can pay with cash or Venmo/Paypal.

  • Can children come for FREE?

    • Children up to age 14 are free. Ages 15 and over are full price.

  • Will there be vendors on site?

    • YES. We have a variety of vendors that will be setting up their booths for the weekend! These vendors range from artists, healers, tarot readings, clothing, crafts, and so much more…

  • Can I bring my own alcohol or other substances (drugs etc…)

    • NO. This is a drug & alcohol free event. There will be no drinking or substance use permitted on the premises. 

  • Is  Cigarette Smoking allowed?

    • We will not have a designated smoking area. Keep in mind that some people are sensitive to cigarette smoke, if you are desiring to smoke you can either exit the fort or be mindful to have distance from others. Potentially being discreet by your tent, or where no other humans are present at that time.

  • Are dogs allowed?

    • Dogs are welcome to come as long as they have a leash & are being taken care of by their human..

  • Is there sheltered coverage for the dance floor if it Rains?

    • YES! We have a 60’x40’ tent to keep our bodies protected from the rain and also to provide shade from the sun!

  • What kind of surface will we be dancing on?

    • We have a vinyl floor that will be installed to protect your bare feet from stones or splinters! There will also be space to dance directly in the grass, feet rooted on pacha mama. 

  • What should I bring?

    • A FLASHLIGHT! Your own tent/camping gear if you are camping out for the weekend. Your own drinking vessel. Your own bowl/plate & utensils. Incense. BUG SPRAY! The mosquitos can really get excited once the sun goes down, so bring your own bug spray. Sunscreen if you need it.  Your own food & snacks if you didn’t pre order a meal pass & aren’t interested in the food options available.

  • What is your policy around nudity?

    • Fort Mifflin is a public venue, so during working hours female bodied beings will be asked to keep their tops on. Once the fort closes for the evening, 5:00pm, tops become optional for all bodies. We ask that everyone keep their pants on throughout the duration of the event.

  • Can I leave & come back?

    • YES! You are free to come and go as you feel called. However, the gate will be closed from 1:00 am to 7:00 am

  • Is there a first aid station//somewhere I can go if I need support?

    • Yes, we will have a first aid station on site located at the Info Booth and a nurse caregiver available if extra care is needed.
